Information about more than one hundred and thirty common Australian birds is available on this site. There are many more birds in Australia but those included here are species most often seen by travellers on the road, around camping and caravan sites, or when walking quietly through the bush or on seashores.

Where appropriate, separate photographs are included for males, females, breeding and non-breeding individuals.
