This section contains more than 1000 scenery photographs taken around Australia as well as a growing number of descriptions and fact sheets related to photographs. In addition there are photographs of birds associated with a specific area, such as Central Australia or South-West Queensland.
![]() ![]() Photographic Collections Photographs are grouped in collections, each dealing with a location (e.g. The Nullarbor), town (e.g. Boulia) or sometimes a National Park (e.g.Karijini). ![]() Each photographic collection opens with a content screen showing thumbnails of images in that collection. Clicking on a thumbnail opens the full size photograph. Viewers can move between photographs in a collection via PREVIOUS and NEXT in the page heading or by clicking on the left and right third of the photograph on the screen. Alternatively, viewers can return to the content screen via top of page links or by a single mouse click in the middle third of any photograph. ![]() Fact Sheets and Descriptions Fact sheets and descriptions deal with a variety of topics and new ones are often added. Titles of fact sheets or descriptions relevant to a region are grouped on the region page and can be opened by clicking on the title. ![]() Bird Collections Bird collections show birds commonly seen within all or part of a region, for example, Western Victoria or New South Wales Central Coast. Photographs in these collections have, without exception, been taken within the nominated area or location. These photographs are linked with the fact sheet dealing with that bird species containing photographs taken anywhere in Australia. Use the 'BACK' button to return from a species fact sheet to the regional collection. ![]() ![]() Regions Collections are grouped into regions across Australia. Regions can be accessed by clicking "Region Map" in the box below. Passing the cursor over the blue dot marking each region on the map turns that dot red with a pink outline showing the region extent. Clicking on the red dot opens the page for the region. ![]() The region page lists all photographic collections, fact sheets, descriptions and regional bird collections relevant to a region. A single mouse click on a collection name or fact sheet opens that collection. ![]() | ||
